Claire Sweeney DPT, Clayton office
Claire Sweeney started at Northern Physical Therapy in May 2016. She graduated from Clarkson University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2016. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Clarkson in May 2013. Her strengths as a physical therapist include a strong background in problem based and self-directed learning, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, and compassionate patient centered care. In December 2015, Claire received her certification in the LSVT BIG program, an innovative and clinically-proven method for improving amplitude of whole body movement in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. Claire has pursued advanced training in vestibular and external pelvic floor rehabilitation, and her clinical experiences include orthopedics, neurology and acute care. She plans to continue her education by becoming a Neurologic Certified Specialist (NCS) and becoming a clinical instructor to mentor students of physical therapy. Currently, she enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, traveling and being involved in her local community.
